When we really learn how to love, we first learn to love our true and authentic self. It is the love of the true and authentic self which compounds the power of creative energy in our lives and empowers us as co-creators of our reality. Love is the fuel which empowers all things to expand and become more and self-love allows us in our growth and development to expand and become more.
It is not easy to say or easy to believe, but it is the most authentic thing in our lives…Real love is self-love. Self-love like all love is a journey and adventure all in one. As we recover and rediscover our true and authentic self, we learn new things about ourselves—new things that make us love who we really are even more.
For this reason, it is said that real love is self-love because self-love is how we learn to love others. As we grow in loving our true and authentic self, we find that we are able to extend this same love and acceptance to others. We search for the presence of oneness with all people we encounter. We become more than just tolerant to differences; instead, we welcome differences knowing that these wonderful differences are evidence of the Creative Spirit working in our life and the lives of others.
Real love is self-love because it is self-love which teaches us the power of love and an appreciation for life. Love is a mighty river and it flows through our devotion to being who we really are and loving others for who they really are. Self-love begins to radiate and attracts more love into our lives when we show gratitude to the Universe for who we really are.
Imagine it for a moment, imagine showing gratitude to God, the Universe, Source Energy, The All, The Presence (whatever you feel comfortable with) for who you really are. Imagine expressing gratitude for your awkward giggle, unique talent, your gifts, your hair, your eyes, or even the way you walk. This gratitude to the Universe for the little things that make you creatively unique is expressing self-love.
Accordingly, when this love radiates, it becomes very attractive (The Universal and Cosmic Law of Attraction at work) and therefore attracts more love to you. The more authentic and real your love is for your true and authentic self—the more you will attract real and authentic love from others. And real love is unconditional love.
So, the question is…Do we really know how to love? The answer to this question begins within. We must go to the depths of our own soul and love ourselves for who we really are. We must let go of the fears, fetters, and illusions of the ego which tell us we are unworthy of love and that unconditional love does not exist.
Here is the honest, universal truth. We will only attract unconditional love when we love ourselves unconditionally. Have you made mistakes? Yes, love yourself anyway. Have you done everything perfect? No, but you are perfect so love yourself anyway—The Creator made no mistakes when the spirit of universal love created you. Love your true and authentic self and you will find an influx of love flooding into your life. Love yourself unconditionally because real love is unconditional and real love is self-love.
