What You Done to Me — is a metaphysical poem by Metaphysical Poet Carmellita M. Brown.  What You done to me explores how our desires affect us and change us.  The poem give insight to the ecstasy of co-creating and the creative process. While somewhat provocative in language.  The poem seeks to demonstrate how desire, our true desires takes us to places pure joy and elation.

What you done to me

I remember that song I wrote about you before I met you, but damn it was about you.

The words banged out a hot melody and it was nothing discrete about it.

It punched to a new rhythm that rocked me and let me know you could take me there.

I wrote it in intense passion long before I got to see exactly what you were working with.

The lyrics slammed in a harmonious tempo

“You make me wanna dance a little longer.

You make my heart beat a little stronger.

I know your eyes can see

Just what ya done to me.”

Mama’s good girl didn’t like the words

But when I started to dance and grind a little deeper against you

The bridge got hotter and hotter and hotter

My temperature rose and well, it would have been so…

We won’t talk about it right now

I felt it in my tender warm places and it felt like one bad ass song.

So, here at midnight, I’m finishing all the lyrics, feeling you on my skin.

Feeling beats I never felt before and ready to rock you down.
