It is normal for us as human being to want to have a sense of security even while on the path of enlightenment.  It does not mean we do not have faith or that we have to choose between our dreams and security.  Freedom, the joy of freedom which is what we experience in a state of happiness, is aligned with the vibration of security. We feel security when we live and actualize our dreams and as we feel this security, we also feel the vibration of freedom.

To the contrary, have you ever felt trapped?  Have you ever felt you were not living the life you are supposed to live?  These feelings of being trapped in the “wrong” life are normal because it is our nature to want to live our dreams. As co-creators, we innately and intuitively know that we can create the life we want to live.  We know that if we create the life we truly desire and live our dreams then we will experience the joy of freedom and security.

And just where does this security come from?  This security originates from our connection with Divine Intelligence through our own Living Mind.  This connection is the Holy Spirit—the “Comforter.”  In this sense, the Holy Spirit is the comforter because it reassures us that all things work together for your good.  All things work together for your good when you are aligned with purpose.  Accordingly, if you are living your dreams, you are aligning with purpose.  Aligning with purpose and experiencing a sense of accomplishment each and every day feels good the Soul.  As a result, the soul begins to participate in the living and creating of your life again.

When “out of purpose” the soul disconnects with our daily activities and our Inner Being feels this dis-connectivity. This feeling of dis-connectivity manifests as discontentment, unhappiness, depression, and frustration.  Re-aligning with purpose and living our dreams bring us back to a state of happiness because we have the joy and reassurance of knowing that as long as we are in purpose, we have the reassurance of success and the reassurance of success gives us a feeling of security.

As it is with all freedom, there is a price.  The price is to let go of the illusions of the ego.  If we allow the ego to exercise its control, the ego will squeeze the life out of our dreams.  The ego is too fearful and too resistant to the Creative Spirit and will not allow life to unfold.  The ego seeks to manipulate situations, things, and people in order to create a false sense of security.  And although when we are in an egotistical state we are discontent, frustrated, and unhappy, the ego will continue to live or rather exist in its dysfunction if we allow it.

Thus, it is important to meditate, pray, and do the spiritual work necessary to build our confidence as co-creators.  When that confidence becomes faith—an unshakable and unwavering faith, then our dreams seem more than possible.  We reach deeper in ourselves and we reach farther into the horizon of our lives.
