What is compassion? Compassion is the understanding of someone else’s experience without passing judgment.  Grasping the wisdom of this denotative meaning of compassion, the questions now becomes: “Are we practicing compassion as Conscious Creative Artists and co-creators in partnership with a loving and abundant Creator?  As we explore the influence of compassion on our creativity, we discover that many among us may not be practicing this spiritual and personal development principle.

Compassion is a spiritual principle which we greatly benefit from practicing in our personal development because it influences our creativity.  And we say “influence” because when something is “influences” another thing, it gives direction to the flow of it.  Accordingly while we seek to demonstrate the importance of compassion as a spiritual principle for our personal development, we also want to demonstrate how compassion influences the flow of our creativity.

You see, friends, in the creative flow process, compassion enables us to identify with not only our potential audience as Conscious Creative Artists but also as co-creators it enables us to realize how we can use our message of enlightenment to inspire others to be an inspiration.  And to inspire others to be an inspiration is the goal that every Conscious Creative Artist hopes to achieve as we telepathically communicate our message to the world.

How does compassion influence our creativity?  Compassion influences our creativity by:

  1.  Allowing us to identify with someone else’s experience – When we can identify with someone else’s experience we can better communicate sincerely in our creative works as artists.  Even more so, as co-creators, we are able to sense how we can best serve humanity with our gifts and talents by identifying with someone else’s experience.
  2. Allowing us to reach deeper states of awareness – Awareness is consciousness.  Because we show compassion and feel compassion for others, we can reach deeper states of awareness.  In order to be compassionate, we have to be in the present moment and present moment awareness makes us available for inspiration and ushers us in the Presence of the Most High, Our Loving Creator.
  3. Allowing us to have sympathy for others as they experience their trials – It is so easy to judge and make excuses for why we do not sympathize with someone else, but as artists if we want our message to truly “speak to” and reach the minds and hearts of humanity then learning to sympathize without judgment takes your creativity to new heights and deeper depths.  If you can “feel it” then others will “feel it” too.
  4.  Sparks our desire to bring light, healing, beauty, and love to others through the use of our gifts and talents –  Our creativity takes on astronomical meaning, power, and ability when we desire to use our gifts and talents for goodwill.  Bringing light, love, beauty, and healing through the creative use of your gifts and talents ministers to the needs of others and it can truly inspire others to be an inspiration.

We hear all the time how “a little compassion goes a long way.”  And it is true!  A little compassion can do great things to influence your creativity.  It can spark a story of triumph, a heartfelt performance of epic proportions, an idea or invention that cures that which ails.  How is this all possible?  It is possible because compassion brings forth our passion and it is the precursor to caring and caring allows love to flow through us.

So as Conscious Creative Artists during those times when we are struggling and waiting for inspiration, simply allow compassion to flow.  As that compassion flows, you will find that inspiration will naturally awaken within you.  Inspiration will awaken within you because you have utilized the principle of compassion stir your passion.  That passion will take you to a place of pure consciousness where beauty, love, ecstasy, and light create a symphony of authenticity which can only come from the Soul.
